{"id":2206,"date":"2024-11-08T16:56:32","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T22:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2206"},"modified":"2024-11-08T16:56:32","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T22:56:32","slug":"pasta-e-ceci-pasta-and-chickpeas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/pasta-e-ceci-pasta-and-chickpeas","title":{"rendered":"Pasta e Ceci (Pasta and Chickpeas)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 TBS olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 cloves garlic (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 TBS tomato paste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP kosher salt, plus more to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Freshly ground black pepper or red pepper flakes, to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 C cooked chickpeas (or 30 OZ canned) (drained and rinsed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 C (4 ounces or 110 grams) uncooked ditalini pasta (or another small shape like annelini)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 C water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Finishing Oil (optional):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3-4 TBS olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cloves of garlic (finely minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP fresh rosemary (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and red pepper flakes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a medium-large heavy-bottomed pot or deep saute pan, heat the olive oil until it shimmers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the garlic and cook, stirring until it becomes lightly, barely browned but very fragrant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir in the tomato paste, salt, and pepper and cook them with the garlic for 30 seconds or so.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the chickpeas, pasta, and water.
