{"id":2239,"date":"2024-11-11T13:15:30","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T19:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2239"},"modified":"2024-11-11T13:15:30","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T19:15:30","slug":"corn-chowder-slow-cooker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/corn-chowder-slow-cooker","title":{"rendered":"Corn Chowder (Slow Cooker)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8 OZ bacon (cooked until crispy then crumbled)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2\u00bd LB Russet potatoes (unpeeled, diced in \u00bc inch cubes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 LB kernel corn (frozen is OK)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 LG onion (finely chopped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 C celery (finely chopped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 &#8211; 8 garlic cloves (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd TSP salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 C chicken stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 C half and half or heavy cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Combine all ingredients except half &amp; half in the slow cooker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook on low for 8 &#8211; 10 hours or high for 4 &#8211; 6 hours.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alternatively, use an Instant Pot and cook on manual (high pressure) 10 minutes then do a 10 minute natural pressure release.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blend about half the soup using an immersion blender (or just scoop it into your upright blender then return to slow cooker).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add half and half or heavy cream and continue cooking, uncovered, for about another 15 minutes, until heated through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Yields 8 servings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calories: 380kcal<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>https:\/\/www.mamalovesfood.com\/crockpot-corn-chowder\/Crockpot Corn Chowder<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yields 8 servings.
