{"id":2325,"date":"2024-11-12T13:54:48","date_gmt":"2024-11-12T19:54:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2325"},"modified":"2024-11-12T13:54:48","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T19:54:48","slug":"chicken-with-mustard-cream-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/chicken-with-mustard-cream-sauce","title":{"rendered":"Chicken with Mustard Cream Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 boneless &amp; skinless chicken breasts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 cloves garlic (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 C brandy (or white wine)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TBS (rounded) dijon mustard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TBS (rounded) grainy mustard<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc C heavy cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc C chicken stock<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt &amp; pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cut the chicken in half lengthwise so that you have 8 smaller, thinner cutlets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper both sides of the chicken cutlets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook cutlets on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the cooked chicken and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduce heat to medium. Add the garlic and saute for 1 minute, stirring to make sure it doesn&#8217;t burn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the brandy (or wine if using), being careful if cooking over an open flame. Simmer until it is reduced by half.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the mustards and stir to combine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the cream and chicken stock, adding more stock if the sauce seems too thick.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return the chicken to the pan, nestling into the sauce.
