{"id":2490,"date":"2024-11-15T16:27:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-15T22:27:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2490"},"modified":"2024-11-15T16:27:54","modified_gmt":"2024-11-15T22:27:54","slug":"deep-fried-cauliflower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/deep-fried-cauliflower","title":{"rendered":"Deep Fried Cauliflower"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Buttermilk Marinade:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 C buttermilk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP coriander powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00bd TSP salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TSP cayenne pepper powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd TSP garlic powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd TSP paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP onion powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP turmeric powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Additional Ingredients:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 MED head cauliflower (cut into 1-1\u00bd&#8221; florets)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vegetable oil, for deep frying<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be C all purpose flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc C cornstarch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stir all buttermilk marinade ingredients together in a large bowl until combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add cauliflower florets, stir well to coat thoroughly (let every nook and cranny get coated), set aside for about 15 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Into a large dutch oven or a large saucepan, pour vegetable oil until about 1-inch height, heat over high heat to 350\u00b0 F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While the oil is heating, place all purpose flour and cornstarch in a shallow bowl, add remaining \u00bc teaspoon salt and 3 tablespoons of the prepared buttermilk marinade. Mix with your fingertips, until thoroughly combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working with one floret at a time, remove from the buttermilk marinade, coat with flour (pressing on all sides for flour to adhere well) and place on a plate in a single layer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deep fry in three batches, until deep golden on all sides, about 6 minutes per batch.
