{"id":2695,"date":"2025-10-13T14:52:25","date_gmt":"2025-10-13T19:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2695"},"modified":"2025-10-13T14:52:25","modified_gmt":"2025-10-13T19:52:25","slug":"butter-chicken-meatballs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/butter-chicken-meatballs","title":{"rendered":"Butter Chicken Meatballs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Base<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 TBS olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd LG onion (chopped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 cloves garlic (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TBS fresh ginger (or ginger paste) (grated)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP turmeric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP smoked paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be TSP garam masala<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd TSP cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>14 OZ canned crushed tomatoes or plain tomato sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd C unsalted chicken stock (more as needed later)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd &#8211; 1 TSP kosher salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TSP sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20 OZ (~4 C) of cooked chicken or turkey meatballs (frozen OK, just bake prior to use) (cooked chicken can be used instead)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To Finish:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 TBS butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 OZ heavy cream (more to taste)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">To Serve:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cooked brown or basmati rice (~\u00bd C per serving)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc C fresh cilantro (to garnish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat oil over medium heat in a large skillet or Dutch oven. Add onion, garlic, ginger and spices, saut\u00e9 until softened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add tomatoes, stock, salt, and sugar. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer the sauce to a blender and puree until smooth, or use an immersion blender directly in the pot to blend.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add sauce back to the pan. Add the meatballs, simmer with the cover on or keep on low heat until warmed through.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the butter and cream.
