{"id":2740,"date":"2026-06-15T11:35:26","date_gmt":"2026-06-15T16:35:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/?p=2740"},"modified":"2026-06-15T14:34:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-15T19:34:39","slug":"mexican-street-corn-elotes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/mexican-street-corn-elotes","title":{"rendered":"Mexican Street Corn (Elotes)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 ears of corn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup Crema Mexican Agria Sour Cream (regular sour cream will work as well)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup mayonnaise<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be cup Cotija cheese, crumbled<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd TSP garlic powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u215c teaspoon fine sea salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Juice and zest of 2 limes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u215c C (1 bundle) cilantro, finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00be teaspoon chipotle chili powder (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Option 1 &#8211; Grilling:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat your grill to roughly 400\u00b0 F. You can grill the corn with the husks on or off. Leaving the husks off to ensures that the corn gets nice grill marks and it gives it a nice grilled flavor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Husks On:<\/strong> let your corn soak in water for 10 minutes before grilling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Husks Off: <\/strong>lightly coat each cob with oil add season with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the corn on the grill and grill for roughly 12 minutes, turning the cobs 1\/4 turn every 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Option 1 &#8211; Saute:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can cook the corn in a skillet over medium high heat. Add in a little oil, and once hot add in the corn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook for a few minutes on each side until it starts to darken a little.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Option 3 &#8211; Roast:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat the oven to 425\u00b0 F. Lightly coat each husked cob with oil, season with salt and pepper, and place in a single layer on a roasting pan.
