{"id":399,"date":"2001-09-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-09-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2024-11-18T14:48:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-18T20:48:24","slug":"399","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/399","title":{"rendered":"Ginger Beer &#8211; Wired Magazine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00bd C fresh ginger (finely grated)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 C sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 TBS lemon juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 TBS lime juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP baker&#8217;s yeast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 TBS dried hibiscus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TBS dried rose flower (available at botanical.com and some specialty groceries)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Combine the ginger, sugar, lemon juice and lime juice with 6 C water and bring to a gentle boil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix the yeast with \u00be C warm water and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After 30 minutes, remove the ginger solution form the heat. Add the hibiscus and rose flower, stir and let sit for 10 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add 10 C cold water and strain into a second container.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir in the yeast solution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funnel liquid into two 2 liter bottles (or the equivalent) to an inch below the cap, adding water if necessary.
