{"id":400,"date":"2001-09-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-09-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2024-11-15T13:12:56","modified_gmt":"2024-11-15T19:12:56","slug":"400","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dmentd.com\/blog\/400","title":{"rendered":"Chili (Turkey) &#8211; Weight Watchers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 TSP canola oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 MED onions (chopped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 garlic cloves (minced)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 MED carrots (thinly sliced into rounds)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 LB lean ground turkey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 TBS chili powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TBS paprika<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 TSP ground cumin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 TSP red pepper flakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4 MED tomatoes (chopped) (substitute 1 14\u00bd OZ can Hunt&#8217;s petite diced tomatoes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 C canned tomato sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 C fat-free chicken broth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 TBS apple cider vinegar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 C cooked kidney beans (rinsed and drained, mash 1 C before adding)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 MED green bell peppers (chopped)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 TSP table salt (or to taste)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc TSP black pepper (or to taste)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat a large pot coated with cooking spray over medium heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add oil and onion, saut\u00e9 onion until soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.\u00a0 Add garlic and carrots and cook until garlic is softened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add ground turkey, and brown the meat, about 5 minutes.\u00a0Stir to break up lumps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add chili powder, paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth and vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer until the meat is tender, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the beans and bell pepper.
