Here I sit, broken hearted. Came to fly, but ain’t departed.
Soooo, at the last minute, last night the plane developed mechanical problems. They strung us along till 1:00am, then rebooked us all automatically to a new, added for our benefit, flight today. They gave us food and hotel vouchers, and sent us on our way.
Here I sit again, waiting for my third attempt to leave the country to fail.
But Hooray!!! For I now know you are abroad and made the transatlantic trip. Have fun my friend and take comfort in the warmth of your kind hosts and adoring girl.
Sorry darlin’. Glad to hear from Pandora that you made it safely out of the country finally. I hope your train travels were more pleasant and that you are able to enjoy the rest of your trip. See you at the airport on Sunday. Let me know if there are any delays. No matter what time you come in, I’ll be there.
Thank you both for the concern and well wishes. If I can just get my ass back into the States on the first leg without delay, I can make it back to Austin without much trouble… likely to be more than a single flight from Atlanta to Austin a day, like there is only one from Atlanta to Manchester. I’ll keep everyone up to date on the return trip times, and about any stinking delays.
